The women violated by undercover relationships are dealing with the emotionally challenging work of preparing their legal cases, their evidence to the Public Inquiry, and rebuilding their lives. This is in the face of enormous blocks placed in the way by the police, who continue to obstruct legal proceedings in the attempt to hide from the public the gory details of their actions.
All those we support – including those who have reached a settlement out of court – are facing ongoing battles to get to the truth, including through the Public Inquiry. Costs are incurred for meetings, travel, psychological support, childcare and more. We hope to be able to assist with at least some of these costs.
We are committed to amplifying the voices of those affected, raising public awareness of the issues around undercover relationships and the targeting of political groups, and encouraging public action to counter the fear and mistrust generated by the police’s actions.
